Student
programs are developed to build relationships
with others while trying to reach a specific
goal or challenge. Through these programs
each child will receive the support of their
peers in a positive manner and gain a sense of
self-confidence and pride in their achievements.

Tribes
The Tribes Programs helps
students develop social skills and respect for others
and for life.
There are four agreements in Tribes
APPRECIATION - NO PUT DOWNS
I will speak kindly to others and think of other
people's feelings
MUTUAL RESPECT
I will show respect to people and their
belongings and the world and its creatures
around me. I will treat others the way I
wish to be treated.
ATTENTIVE LISTENING
I will listen when others are speaking and give
them my undivided attention and consideration.
RIGHT TO PASS / PARTICIPATE
I have the right to pass in certain activities
and to know that the more I participate the more
I gain.
We
encourage students:
- to think and consider the agreements of mutual respect before
acting
- to use the 3 step plan to resolve conflict
The 3 step Plan involves:
- 1st Say "stop" - 2nd Walk away - 3rd Seek teacher assistance if help is needed
