
Lakeroad School Council Mission Statement
The Lakeroad School Council believes in
enhancing and promoting the educational experience
of our students. We are a collective voice that
cares for our school and aims to develop a nurturing
environment among students, staff, parents, and
community.
Lakeroad Public School was constructed in 1946.
Today the school educates 173 students.
Did you know, that Lakeroad Public School has had
a Lion as mascot since 1946?

Milk money is due today. Please provide a
cheque made to London Road School for the amount of
$16.00.

Our first school council meeting will be held in the
School Library at 6:30 pm. Nomination forms
should be completed and returned to the school by

Student
Safety
Parents please remember that yard duty
does not begin until 8:40 am and that
your child should not be dropped off at
school before this time.
Students are to remain outside until the
bell rings to bring them in. Only students
accompanied by a parent may enter the
school through the front and East doors.
In the case of poor weather conditions
an early bell will ring alerting the
children of an early entrance.
Crossing Guard Times Have Changed.
A crossing guard is on duty at the
intersection of Indian Road and
Lakeshore Road in the morning between
8:00 - 8:50 am;
at our new lunch break (second
nutritional break) between 1:10 - 1:50
pm and at the end of
the school day between 3:10 - 3:30.
Dress
Code Reminder
With the very warm days that are to
come, we want to remind our students of
our dress code. Remember that shirt and
shoes must be worn at all times.
Revealing clothing such as spaghetti
straps, halter tops, bare midriff, beach
attire, short shorts, loose pants that
ride down and muscle shirts are
unacceptable in our school.
Retirement Wishes
Best wishes to Mrs. Girling, in
September, when she will begin a new
stage in her life. The staff and
parents of Lakeroad than Mrs. Girling
for her many years of hard work and
dedication to her many students.
Our students have many wonderful
memories.

Principal's Message
It is my honour to be Principal of
Lakeroad School. I am very proud of our
hard working Staff and eager students
who create a positive learning
environment each and every day.
Lakeroad School provides a safe,
stimulating environment that allows
students to reach their greatest
individual potential with respect for
self, others and the environment with
the goal of becoming a responsible
contributing member of society. Each
day we treat each other as we want to be
treated in so doing we try to make our
present and future world a better
place. We welcome new families to our
School to join our awesome “Lakeroad
Lions” School Community.

Our first day back to class is September
2nd.
Milk
Program
 The
milk program will begin Sept 8th, 2008.
Milk will be available at the second
nutrition break (1:10 pm) in the
lunchrooms. If you would like your child
to have milk please send a cheque in the
amount of $16.00 for 20 cartons of milk.
Please send your cheque to the school no
later than September 5th. Please
make cheques payable to Lakeroad Public School- Milk .
Please include on the cheque your
child's name and grade - no cash please.
Immunization
Records
Looking ahead to September when we begin
our new school year, please remember the
importance of updating your child's
immunization records with the Health
Unit.
Publication of Photos
From time to time we invite the media to
our school to cover classroom or sports
activities. Photographs are often
a part of this coverage. Please
let the school know, in writing if you
DO NOT wish to have your child's picture
published on such occassions.
